Roller Blind Fitting Instructions

PLEASE READ THESE INSTUCTIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO FIT YOUR BLIND

Note : The brackets supplied are pre drilled for universal fitting to either TOP or FACE

ATTENTION: Your blind has been carefully packed with the operating chain in a set position held with an elastic band and paper around the roll do not take these off yet.

Fixing Brackets Inside Recess

Decide where the blind is to be fitted, check there are no obstructions. i.e. window catches, handles, alarm boxes, telephone boxes etc, which would prevent the blind rolling up or down.

The universal brackets can be fitted to give FACE or TOP fixing. We do not recommend sideways fixing even though the bracket is drilled on the side as well as the top or face.

Step 1

Fit control bracket FIG 4 to the side you have ordered the control chain. Fit bracket with one screw first, then adjust bracket so it is level and straight, then fix other screw

Step 2

With the blind fully rolled up, insert the hooked pin in a vertical position into the bracket you have just fixed and push down slightly so the pin locates, then place the round pin end into the pin end bracket FIG 3. Lift the blind up to the desired position just holding the blind with the bracket making sure the blind doesn't fall off (you may need assistance) Now with a pencil or bradawl mark off the position of where to fit the bracket. MAKE SURE THE PIN IS COMPRESSED ABOUT HALF WAY IN. When you have marked the position for the pin end bracket take the blind down by unhooking the control end out of the bracket.

Step 3

Now fit the bracket FIG 3 onto the mark previously made in step 2 use the same aligning method as for the control end bracket FIG 1

Step 4

With brackets in place you are now ready to fit the blind properly. IMPORTANT the blind must be fully rolled up tight before final fitting. This is crucial otherwise the pre set beadchain will be in the wrong position. So with the blind fully rolled up proceed as follows FIRST place the pin end FIG 2 into the pin end bracket FIG 3 and compress the telescopic pin as far as it will go. With the pin compressed slot the control end FIG 1 into the control end bracket FIG 4 making sure the hooked pin is locked properly and is in the upright (vertical) position.

Step 5

With the blind still fully rolled up as described in STEP 4 you can now take off the elastic band and paper around the roll. Your blind is now ready to operate.

CHECK

1. The control pin is in the upright (vertical) position and the control bead chain is hanging from the underside of the control housing
2. The fabric is rolling down the back of the roller, unless your blind was ordered with a reverse roll action.
